Description
HP Metaquench 39 and HP Metaquench 40 are premium industrial quenching oils made to comply with IS:2664, 1980 standard for straight mineral quenching oils. These are made from highly refined base oils that do not have any additives, thus the quenching performance during heat treatment remains predictable and stable.
HP Metaquench 39 is a general, purpose quenching oil which is best for quenching cyanided parts as well as different steel components. Being a medium viscosity oil, it accelerates heat transfer, therefore its usage results in uniform cooling and less risk of cracking or warping the metal. HP Metaquench 40, which is of a heavier grade, is thus advised when lower quenching speeds are necessary, thereby making it apt for thicker and heavier parts that are sensitive to fast cooling.
Both variants have good thermal conductivity, excellent oxidation stability, and low volatility, thus they are able to retain their life and performance even at high temperatures.
